BRANCH MEETINGS
Guest speakers at these monthly gatherings include experienced researchers, teachers, computer buffs, and others who are well versed in genealogy. You will soon make friends with our members who are always ready to answer your questions and provide any assistance you need to get started on your quest. Regular branch meetings are:
- The first Saturday of each month, held between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 79 Ferris Lane, Barrie (see location map).
- All Branch Meetings are open to the general public, so you do not have to be a member to join the fun. Any changes in time or place are noted in the Branch newsletter SCAN, as well as here on the web site, and in the community newspapers.
BRANCH WORKSHOPS
Branch workshops are presented to help genealogists and family historians expand their knowledge and provide them with the tools to help further their research projects. Offered on a variety of topics, these opportunities allow participants to access a knowledge base, research materials, and facilities with more experienced members. Check out the current lineup of workshops below.
OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS
From time to time, we partner with other local groups to support their cause. Check out the list of events where we can be found this year. We hope that you will come find us to share your genealogical story or question.
