Library Project

The Library project is an important part of the Simcoe County Branch, Ontario Ancestors, and there are two distinct parts to the project.

One portion involves the creation of a collection of resources useful to those doing family research. This part began early on in our organization. The collection continues to grow through fundraising efforts that allow us to purchase more items, as well as gifts of items from generous donors. If you are interested in adding to our collection, contact our Library Co-ordinator.

The second part of this project is the ongoing maintenance of the collection. Volunteers donate time and effort on a regular basis to make sure the collection is kept in order and that any damaged items are repaired. This helps those doing research find the resource they are looking for quickly and easily. If you are interested in volunteering, contact our Library Co-ordinator.

The Simcoe County Branch Library Collection is located at Barrie Public Library. Please see their website for hours and location.
