BRANCH MEETINGS

Guest speakers at our monthly meetings include experienced researchers, teachers, computer buffs, and others who are well versed in genealogy. You will soon make friends with our members who are always ready to answer your questions and provide any assistance you need to get started on your genealogical journey. Regular branch meetings are:

  • held between 2pm and 4pm ET, usually on the first Saturday of each month
  • at the Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie.
  • open to the public. You do not have to be a member to join the fun.

Any changes in time or place are noted in the Branch newsletter SCAN, as well as here on the Branch website, and on our Facebook page

BRANCH WORKSHOPS

Branch workshops are presented to help genealogists and family historians expand their knowledge and provide them with the tools to help further their research projects. Offered on a variety of topics, these opportunities allow participants to access a knowledge base, research materials, and facilities with more experienced members. One of our most sought after workshops is an Introduction to Genealogy which is a hands on experience lead by our team of experts.

OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS

From time to time, we partner with other local groups to support their cause. We hope that you will come find us to share your genealogical story or question.
